Signing up with your class can be a lesson in itself! There are many issues to talk about in terms of internet safety. Why not take the opportunity to discuss issues of privacy and how to stay safe online?

In the Big March Park there will also be special tents by organisations like Google with a whole range of videos that show young people how to use the web safely.

All *new* lesson plans

There are lots of brand new lesson plans available for download in The Big March Park!

If you navigate your way to the Teachers Tent, you will discover a whole stack of brand new resources. Plus don't forget, each tent in the Park has something exciting inside; for example, check out the Hall of Fame which celebrates great activists of our time!

By the time Anti-Bullying Week arrives, there will be lots more tents, lots more lesson plans and lots more activities available for you to download. In the meantime, you can download last year's resources below.

Cyber Comic Lesson Plan (2009)

The Cyber Comic Lesson Plan comprises two 50 minute lesson plans aimed at Key Stage 2 and 3 pupils, but can be adapted for younger or older pupils. They cover areas of the curriculum including Citizenship and PSHE, as well as Art and Design. They are designed to enable schools to address cyberbullying and raise awareness of the issue, in particular to the build up of Anti-Bullying Week 2010.

Digital Rights Lesson Plan (2009)

Friday 20th November 2009 celebrated the 20th anniversary of the ‘United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child’. Although there is much in place to assist with the rights of young people, there is not a charter for the digital rights of young people. As technology becomes more and more a part of young peoples’ lives, their rights online are just as important as in the real world, and we need to make sure that young people are safe online.

This is a great chance for teachers to engage students in important messages around young peoples’ rights, online safety, and cyberbullying. We’ve created a special lesson plan for Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils which gives teachers and pupils the opportunity to talk about the rights of young people, and in particular their digital rights.

Cyberbullying Assembly Plan (2009)

This is an Assembly Plan aimed at all pupils. We have adapted it slightly to suit both younger and older pupils depending on the topics you wish to raise with them. It looks at what cyberbullying is, how it can affect young people and what to do about it, including top tips.

It is a Powerpoint Presentation which you can use as a template; add more slides if you wish.

Wristbands + resources

This year, Aston from JLS has designed the wristbands especially for Beatbullying. They can be pre-ordered using the pdf form which you can download here. This year, we have built a very special website called The Big March Park for teachers, parents and young people, where you can take part in all sorts of online activities and download lesson plans. By Anti-Bullying Week there will be so much going on in the Park, it could keep you busy for a whole week with your classes and groups!
