The Board of Trustees and Beatbullying patrons form a significant part of what we call Team BB. Over the years, trustees have arrived through many different doors - sometimes we have worked with them on a particular project and they decide to become more directly involved, at other times they have approached us directly.
Trustees have a unique and vital role to play at the heart of any charity. They accept ultimate responsibility for directing the affairs of a charity, and ensuring that it is solvent, well-run, and that it delivers the set charitable outcomes. As individuals, they need to have a range of hard business skills, (financial, marketing or strategic, for example) and a range of softer skills like decision making and communication. As a team, a good Board of Trustees will come from a diverse range of backgrounds with a set of skills and experiences that complement and enhance each other. Have a look at Beatbullying's current Board of Trustees and see what we mean. Can you bring something interesting to the mix?
Patrons are people who show immense interest in Beatbullying's aims and ambitions and share our values and hopes for the future of our young people. Invariably they are in the public eye, but not always. Patrons get involved with us because they believe passionately in the emotional wellbeing of young people and work hard to support and encourage Beatbullying in the public eye, thus generating awareness and access to new income streams.
If you are interested in becoming either a trustee or a patron, just send us an email - we'd love to hear from you.
