BBTunes

BBTunes merges the many exciting and interactive elements embedded within all our programmes with a few extra special magic ingredients - music and song writing! Exploring bullying is never an easy prospect. Many children and young people affected by bullying feel a deep sense of shame and humiliation. By literally throwing methods into the mix and using music, sound, rhythm and song writing as engagement tools, it became clear that this was an excellent way to empower those determined to be hard to reach, with low self-esteem and confidence, abilities that were deliberately hidden as a result of being bullied and those for whom bullying was the only form of expression.

The programme is delivered by the Beatbullying development team led by a professional musician and song writer and highly experienced primary school teacher. Being piloted across many regions and engaging and empowerment thousands of children and young people, BBTunes is a proactive, exciting, liberating and truly thought provoking programme particularly suited to primary-aged children. Exploring the motivations of bullies, effects and consequences of this damaging behaviour is where BBTunes comes into its own.
