Social Networking Sites
There are also young people's pages on SNS such as Bebo, MySpace and Facebook; you'll have to log on with your own account first to see these, however.
Working with new media and creating websites or an online presence has always been a core activity in the Beatbullying prevention model. Young people need to feel ownership of the campaigns and work that they do, and seeing the fruits of their labours online is an important way in which young people and BBAmbassadors can better disseminate their work to their peers.
Once the young people in a borough (or project) have worked up their anti-bullying campaign, they decide how they promote it, whether to use print, online or any other media. If they choose online, it is their responsibility to work up the content and the design for the site (or Social Networking Site) which they then carefully plan and agree togther before handing over to Beatbullying design staff for online production. Below is a list of all the microsites developed to date.
