The BBClic is an award-winning online learning resource for young people. Set up like a virtual club, it comprises four floors of rooms and activities which young users navigate using their keyboard as if they were playing a computer game. Before they enter, young people choose from a wide range of different characters, all designed and conceived by young Beatbullying Ambassadors. They then move the character through the virtual environment, stopping off to take part in various activities as they go.
The activities range in design from light and games-oriented to dealing with heavyweight bullying issues around faith, race and culture. Some activities are intended to be used as a discussion springboard whilst others are more linear and have set learning outcomes. There is a Professional's Guide to using the BBClic for parents and professionals wanting a deeper explanation of the content and giving them specific information on how best to access and utilise the information.
This resource can be used by pupils either individually or collectively in a classroom situation.
