It's that time of year again. For most young people, it's exciting and cool; getting back into the groove, hooking up with old mates and making new ones.
But for many young people, this is a period of trepidation and blind fear, anxious about how they escape the nightmare of being bullied the moment they step on the bus or into the playground. It is now well documented that children deploy an intelligent arsenal of avoidance tactics, from the standard *I'm not feeling very well* to *I've lost my shoes/jacket/bag* delete as appropriate.
If you're a parent, look out for your child being more withdrawn or moody than usual. For more signs and symptoms, check out out parents' help section.
