Over 500 young people took to the streets of London yesterday to protest against knife crime, all wearing white as a symbol of peace. The march follows the death of Ben Kinsella, aged 16 - the 17th teenager to die from stab wounds this year.
The spontaneous demonstration is a prime example of some of the steps young people are taking to reduce conflict and violent behaviour among their peer groups - a key objective of Beatbullying's mentoring programmes.
While the deaths of so many young people are very sad and tragic, we must engage and not forgot about all of the young people out there working to make a difference to the lives of others
