Change for Children is a new approach to the well-being of children and young people from birth to age 19.
Beatbullying has been successfully engaging children and young people, schools and communities in preventing bullying for many years now. We have seen a marked shift in the way peers interact, the way some schools deal with bullying and how BB Mentors work in the heart of their communities, bringing them together and making a real difference.
BBMentoring is embedded in our three main strands; school, inter-agency and community. All offer a structured approach that presents stakeholders with a uniquely tailored set of curative interventions that have the longitudinal aim of preventing bullying. Intrinsic to all three strands is that children and young people that graduate as mentors do so by taking control and ownership of the processes they engage with, building their own responses and solutions to share with their peers and their communities.
BBMentoring, in the end, brings a sense of calm, balance, opportunity and confidence to damaged individuals who have been bullied or who bully, to young people who have lost their way, to communities and schools who have all but given up! By measuring impact and evidencing the effectiveness of our approach, when embedded, BB Mentoring will see a reduction in the incidence of bullying on average up to 39% and see reporting through heightened awareness raising, by up to 60%.
