An alternative to the daily commute?
Get your colleagues and friends to sponsor you to walk or ride a bike to work for a week – great – keeps you in good shape and you get to raise money for Beatbullying at the same time! It’s a win-win situation
Ever get fed up of being the one to organise office birthday presents?
We’ve all been there – the dreaded envelope that comes round to your desk, just when you’ve only got 11p in your pocket. Why not do something different this year, and ask your colleagues if they’ll donate whatever they normally chip in for presents and put it in cash box – tot it up at the end of the year – you’ll be really surprised how much you’ve collected – then donate this to Beatbullying – if you’d like to send us a picture of your team, we’ll put up a little thank you in our Fundraising news section.
Who’s the baby?
Great for offices with lots of people in them. Simply ask one of your staff to get a photo from when they were a child. Pin it up on your notice board and ask people to guess who it is. The winner gets a prize – but they must pay a £1 first to guess – you sort out the picture and we’ll sort out the prize!
Give and take
Get your colleagues to give up something for a month – we’re all trying to be fitter and healthier so this should be really easy – they give up and get sponsorship – say 50p from each member of staff for each week they succeed – a great way to get everyone involved – and send us a picture and we’ll put it up on our site.
Syndicate
We all love Wimbledon (except for the weather) so why not share your love of tennis and Beatbullying?? Set up a syndicate in your team or office and give half the money as a prize and the other half to Beatbullying. If you’d prefer to give us all the money – we can arrange a cool ‘money can’t buy’ prize for the winner.
Syndicates are also good for The Grand National and Eurovision so get thinking now about what you could do..
Tinsel – toes – Christmas office parties
We’ve all been there – but there’s no need to be coy about a charity Christmas party – dress up in your most festive clothes for the day and make a donation to the Beatbullying Christmas appeal - £1 from each member of staff should be just the ticket.
Sponsored activities
We have lots of events coming up over the next 12 months – see our events pages – if you’d like to take part in a half marathon, a fun run or even climb a mountain for BB, then please get in touch with Rebecca – she can let you know about our upcoming events. If you have any ideas of your own that you’d like us to do with your company or you yourself – share them with us – we might be professional fundraisers, but we always love to hear what ideas people have.
Mine’s a pint
Get your colleagues to bring in their loose foreign currency. We can exchange this for good old pounds sterling. Ask each colleague if they will fill up a pint glass with all those Euros and we’ll arrange to pick them up from you.
Again – if you’d like some publicity around this then, we can arrange this.
Auction of promises
Instead of goods, promises of people’s time, labour or talents are auctioned off to the highest bidder. This can be done one lunchtime as a team or department event – or if you’re all a bit shy, you can do it by sealed bids in envelopes. A great way to raise money for Beatbullying, highly entertaining and you’ll never know what talents are hidden amongst your office!!
Christmas shopping
If you do a lot of shopping online, then why not sign up this year for a way of shopping that also donates money to Beatbullying at the same time? www.thegivingmachine.co.uk is basically a search engine but we have teamed up with them – everytime you click through to an online shop we net a fee from the search. There’s over 400 well known high street and online retailers listed, so you’ll be able to do all your shopping online, knowing that you’re also donating money to help beat bullying.
Corporate Christmas Cards
We work with quite a few companies each year that use our logo on their cards – get in touch with us, and we can tell you how we can work together on this.
Sports tournaments
We have a couple of corporate sports tournaments lined up for this year – if you’d like to put forward a team or even organise a bigger company wide one for yourselves and your customers/suppliers/clients – get in touch with us –and we can have a chat about it – you can also come along to our tournaments we’ve already organised to see how it all works – just get in touch with us and we’ll take it from there.
