Over one million children and young people are bullied each week in the UK. In London alone this figure is as much as 130,000 a week – bullying is at epidemic proportions in the UK and Beatbullying, as the UK’s leading bullying prevention charity, is working hard to help children and young people who suffer from bullying.

Think of a child or young person you know – it is likely that at some stage in their school life they may be involved in bullying – put yourself in their shoes. You might have been bullied at school yourself and can remember just how awful and experience it was – children and young people don’t need to experience bullying – it is NOT part of growing up. Bullying leaves young people lonely, isolated, sad and depressed. YOU can help us beat bullying.

Every little helps. It is a cliché but true. Every hour you commit to, every £1 you help us raise, is used directly to help these young people. Over 370,000 children and young people are severely bullied in the UK – in some cases children and young people commit suicide in order to ‘get away’ from bullying.

BB has just launched a big recycling drive to help us raise money for our bullying prevention work in schools. We are collecting ink and laser cartridges and mobile phones; BB receives money for each one we collect.
