Beatbullying partners: Race Online 2012

RaceOnline 2012

Beatbullying recognises the value of good technology use in helping charities to improve their efficiency and sustainability and are pleased to be supporting Race Online 2012’s Casebook and promoting great technology use by charities. It will also recruit 10,000 Digital Champions from within its online community, CyberMentors.

Technology underpins Beatbullying and helps to drive it forward.  By leveraging technological development, it is able to deliver a range of therapeutic services to those young people who most need it; some of the most marginalised and vulnerable children in our society. CyberMentors has seen it increase its reach by 566% and is particularly effective in supporting those young people who cannot access traditional offline support.

The CyberMentors business model is rendered infinitely scalable and sustainable through delivering service provision online; Beatbullying can communicate more effectively with its counsellors and mentors, administer the therapeutic and child protection process and deal with referrals and facilitate swift real-time mentoring interventions between young people. Online reporting feeds shape its evaluation and helps demonstrate its efficacy as a charity.

At the heart of the CyberMentors model lies digital volunteering; it is committed to inspiring and building a new generation of volunteers who are in turn committed to helping and supporting their peers - Digital Champions.
