New media sits at the very heart of what Beatbullying does as a charity. We believe that young people need strong resources online; somewhere for them to get advice, support and help - somewhere they can belong and share with their peers. Young people have always been instrumental in the development of learning materials for the web and continue to be so.
CyberMentors is a safe social networking site for peer mentoring. Young people experiencing bullying and cyberbullying can log on and get immediate support from another young person.

Aardman Animations and Titan, publishers of the Shaun the Sheep Comic, partnered with Beatbullying, giving us consent to produce an online learning resource using Shaun and his friends for Anti-Bullying Week 2007.
We designed a series of activities for primary school children centred around the theme of 'friend-sheep'. Working through different levels of activities, young users learn all about respect and tolerance, how to listen to others, how to support each other - introducing them effectively to the concept of peer mentoring.

This is a resource aimed at primary school children and based on the Warner Bros film The Antbully. It uses characters and themes from the film to engage children in the issues of friendship and respect and takes them through a staged process to becoming young *Antbassadors*. It features both on and offline activities and is a fantastic teaching resource.

Another resource for primary school children using the theme of friendship, with animations, 3D characters, videos and games. It was developed in conjunction with a London school and is a password-accessed site. If you'd like to use this resource, please email info@beatbullying.org with your details and we will be happy to give you access to the website.
