At Beatbullying, we are campaigning to shape attitudes and change behaviours around the issue of bullying. We believe that bullying contradicts the basic British values of fair play, of social justice, of aspiration, of opportunity and of respect, and we have to work hard to influence public and social policy to that effect.
The Big March 2012 is the world's first virtual, *global* march for children's right to be safe

| Stephen Fry "The issue of bullying is a serious one, which is why I have signed up to Beatbullying's The Big March 2012. Bullying in all forms is unacceptable and children should be able to live a life free from bullying and harassment from the hands of their peers. It is time that it is taken seriously and we should all take a stand against bullying for once and all. I am proud to be a part of the world's first global virtual march for children's rights." |
| Desmond Tutu "Children are one of the most vulnerable groups in today's society. It is very sad to learn that bullying affects so many of our young people, some with catastrophic results. I am thrilled to know that my involvement in Beatbullying's The Big March 2012, the world's first global march, will help promote positive change for the protection of young people against bullying across the world." |
| Catherine Jenkins "Beatbullying's The Big March 2012 is such a brilliant campaign and I am very proud to be a part of it. I have been a victim of cyberbullying myself and I know firsthand just now hurtful it can be. People think that they can hide behind computers and send nasty and hurtful comments to people, and this is wrong. Children should be able to live a life free from bullying and harassment and it is time that we all took a stand against this. Bullying in any form is unacceptable and this is why I am urging for more people sign up to The Big March 2012 and unite the world against bullying." |
| Alison Hammond "I am very proud to be a part of Beatbullying's The Big March 2012, it is such a brilliant way to get everyone together and stop bullying. Hurtful words, mean names, it's all destructive and unacceptable. Bullying is a serious issue and children all over the world should be protected from it. Let's get our avatars marching and let bullies know that we will not stand for it!" |
| Joe Swash "Bullying is unacceptable in all forms which is why I have signed up to Beatbullying's The Big March 2012. Everyone has either experienced bullying themselves or witnessed it and it is time that we should all take a stand against bullying. The world's first global virtual march is such a brilliant way to bring celebrities, children, parents and people across the globe together to make a real change to children's lives." |
| Nicola Roberts "It upsets me that people live in such unhappiness due to the actions of bullies. I think bullying is out of control, and that the internet and social media are helping highlight this, which is why Beatbullying's The Big March 2012 against bullying is so important. I am proud to be one of many marching against bullying." |
