MiniMentors is a new, innovative peer mentoring programme for children aged 5-11, based on the award-winning CyberMentors programme. MiniMentors is developed to be age appropriate and and takes into account the developmental stages that children of this age group go through.

The programme is primarily focused on the exploration of friendship and well-being. The programme also explores the sensitive topics of bullying, cyberbullying and children's safety both on and off-line. We are working closely with both parents and professionals in the development of this programme; if you would like to get involved, please email juliet.brown@beatbullying.org

The MiniMentors website

The MiniMentors' website is a safe, online space where children can help and support each other. Using private messaging and chat, they can talk to each other and support their peers across a range of issues, such as friendship, wellbeing and learning to stay safe online. Only children who have trained as MiniMentors in their schools are able to offer support.

The website is only fully accessible to children who have the MiniMentors' programme in their schools. Children from all over the UK may view the website; but only children from MiniMentors' registered schools have full access to the messaging and chat functions. In this way, we keep the children safe as we know exactly *who* is interacting on the website.
