Analysis for BBMusic (March 2010)
For young people
- 2,446 children and young people have graduated from BBMusic programme since September 2008, of which 1,179 (48%) were male
- BBMusic has worked in 57 schools, organisations and community groups, located in 9 boroughs or local authority areas
- 62% were from Black and Ethnic Minority Groups; 33% were eligible for Free School Meals (FSM); and 3% reported a disability
- 97% enjoyed the BBMusic workshop
- 72% learnt more about bullying
- 60% now know what they can do to stop bullying
- 50% reported being able to help others who are bullied
- 47% reported feeling more confident as a result of their involvement in BBMusic
- 49% learnt how to stay safe and keep away from trouble

For Schools and Professionals
- 100% rated the programme as either “good” or “excellent” following their observations, feedback and discussions with the young people participating
- 100% of teachers and educational professionals would recommend BBMusic to other schools and colleagues
- After three months, bullying reduced by an average of 31.5% in participating schools and community areas
- After three months, reporting increased by an average of 41.4%
