Janette's internship experience

Janette Parris approached Beatbullying in May 2008 to work as an intern in the New Media department. Janette is a highly successful visual artist who graduated from Goldsmiths in the second wave of Young British Artists and has exhibited extensively in the UK and in Europe.

Janette wanted to volunteer for a charity and at the same time, improve her skill set by working on a live web project.

Janette started a four-month internship in June 2008 and worked on a vast series of illustrated works for one of our online learning resources. The internship was such a great success that Janette has continued to work with Beatbullying on an art-based fundraising project, the BBArt Auction.
