Volunteering is the lifeblood of any charity, and Beatbullying is no exception. We pioneered Digital Volunteering back in 2009, and since then we've trained over 6,000 online mentors across our two main programmes, CyberMentors and ReSync. We also have an army of Volunteer Community Fundraisers and Digital Campaigners that complement the work we carry out with hundreds of thousands of young people all over the UK. Volunteers Week 2011 is a way for us to say a big public thank you to all of our fabulous volunteers for the work they do each and every day in all parts of the charity.
We are celebrating Volunteers Week 2011, with our own Awards Programme and will be announcing winners from a number of categories during the week. Whilst we'd love to give everyone an award for their time, passion and dedication to our work, we can only have a few winners, but for everyone out there that volunteers for us - a BIG THANK YOU to you all for your hard work and dedication in making the lives of young people everywhere better. We couldn't do it without you. You rock!
Volunteers Week this year is June 1st - 7th and each day we will be announcing the winners from a number of categories, chosen by our staff team for their dedication and passion for our work.
This award is for the Digital Volunteer who has had the greatest impact on CyberMentors and ReSync. The Award has been chosen by our staff.
This award is for the Digital Volunteer who has been volunteering for an exceptional length of time on CyberMentors and ReSync. The Award has been chosen by our staff.
The Digital Volunteer 2011 Award is the award voted for by mentees and mentors on both our CyberMentors and ReSync programmes. Mentees and mentors can vote by logging on to www.cybermentors.org.uk and www.resync.org.
The nominations can be made until Monday 6th June when we'll close the polls and count the nominations. Winners will be announced on Tuesday 7th June.
Whilst we have a huge number of Digital Volunteers, we also recognise the achievements of our offline volunteers; those who fundraise for us, campaign for us and help raise awareness of issues affecting children and young people everywhere. These Awards have been chosen by our staff.
