Joe Calzaghe – We are proud to have Joe Calzaghe as a patron of Beatbullying.

Ironically for a man whose fearsome reputation and ring craft saw him win every one of his 46 professional fights and retire as the undefeated world champion of the super-middleweight and light-heavyweight divisions, Joe suffered at the hands of bullies in his schooldays. Although Joe does not think of himself as a victim, he is aware that the miserable experiences of his youth have played a part in shaping his life.

“I’m proud to be part of a national anti-bullying campaign as Patron for the children's charity, Beatbullying. I'm talking out now because I found it so impossible to speak up then. I didn't know where to turn. Now I have a voice and I want to use it to tell kids who are being bullied that the fault is not with them. Be honest, don't be embarrassed, get help, and speak about it. Being bullied isn't about being weak and being a bully isn't about being strong".

Jamie Baulch – Welsh Olympic Athlete Jamie Baulch is supporting BBWales. Jamie is helping to organize a special fundraiser at Cineworld in Cardiff and will be showing his support at our press launch.
